What can I expect on my first visit?
By the end of your first visit, you can expect a clear strategy and plan to resolve your health challenge. You will receive tools that will help you in beginning to take charge of your health. When you make your appointment you will be sent an intake form to complete and bring to your first appointment. To help us have a clear picture of your health as possible, please also bring a list of any medications, supplements, known allergies or test results of health reports previously compelted.
Why can’t I wear scented products to the office?
Some people get severe reactions from scented products – such as asthma, seizures, and migraines. For such persons, scents can even interfere with the efficacy of testing and treatment results that they are receiving at our centre.
Perfume, aftershave, scented deodorant, soaps, fabric softener, shampoo, hair products, cigarette smoke and even natural essential oils cause problems for people. Sometimes the scent lingers on clothing from a previous application.
Fabric softener is a particular concern. Please use unscented as this particular scented product is very potent.
Out of consideration for sensitive patients, please be scent-free for your visit.
I’m very allergic. Can I still come to your office?
Yes. Our office was renovated in accordance with strict environmental health standards. We have tile floors, furniture that has no off-gassing scents as most is either wood or metal, any paint used is VOC-free, there is central-air air-filtration, we do not use or allow use on the premises or grounds any pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.
I have ElectroMagnetic sensitivities. Can you accommodate me?
Yes. We have no Wi-Fi in house. Our treatments rooms are outfitted with non-fluorescent lighting. For extremely sensitive patients we will even turn out lights and position you away from any cell-tower signals that might access the office. We ask clients to turn off their cell phones when they enter the office so that no signals are being received or sent.
How do I make an appointment?
Call our office and the front desk will schedule your appointment. At that time you will be sent a welcome package and health questionnaire.
Do I have to stop taking my medications?
No. You do not have to stop any other health treatments you are receiving. We work to complement any other health care you are receiving.
What if I have to cancel an appointment?
No problem. Just give us 48 hours’ notice so we can then accommodate someone on our waitlist to take your spot. We will re-schedule you at your convenience.
Does insurance cover this?
We are not covered under OHIP as this is not a medical clinic. Check with your individual health insurance for coverage of other services.
What is Muptiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)Syndrome?
A chronic condition attributed to chemical exposure resulting in symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, headaches, a ‘foggy’ mental feeling, depressed moods, and acute allergic reactions. The most troublesome substances include smoke, pesticides, plastics, synthetic fabrics, scented products, petroleum products and paints. Knowing what exposures have caused health complaints is the first step to restoring your health and wellbeing – our practitioners are trained to recognize MCS.
What if I just want to do thermography?
You do not have to be a patient here to book a thermography session. Just call our office and we will set up the appointment for you.
